Man One, Downtown L.A. Mural - May 30, 2007
I’ve been working on this DVD project with Man One that’s about the graffiti culture. We’ve been working on it for a few years now and there is a lot of footage that I’ve collected. Man One is one of the most popular graf artists that you’ve probably never heard of. If you live in LA, you’ve probably seen at least one of his murals at one point over the past decade or so.
It’s a crazy feeling to actually watch him create in his element. He transforms a plain wall into this image you see right here just from a pencil sketch that he jotted down on a piece of paper. To have the people honking in approval at the image and having people walk by and acknowledge it’s beauty is a very good feeling.
